Allergy and immunology deals with problems caused by allergies and other disorders of the immune system. An allergist-immunologist evaluates, diagnoses, and manages disorders of the immune system. Some conditions that this specialist will treat include asthma, rhinitis, eczema, and allergic reactions to drugs, foods and insect bites. Other areas covered by an allergist-immunologist are immune deficiency diseases, problems related to autoimmune diseases, and organ transplantation.

Charles W. DeBrosse was raised in Kettering, Ohio and is a graduate of Fairmont High School. Following high school, Dr. DeBrosse completed his undergraduate training at The Ohio State University and attended medical school at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Dr. DeBrosse then completed a pediatric residency at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. He became board certified in pediatrics in 2008.
Following his residency, Dr. DeBrosse completed fellowship training in Allergy and Immunology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and became a board certified Allergist and Immunologist in 2011. Dr. DeBrosse was trained to treat a wide range of allergic conditions affecting adults and children. These conditions include Allergic Rhinitis, Asthma, Food Allergy, Atopic Dermatitis and Chronic Urticaria (Chronic Hives). During his fellowship, Dr. DeBrosse developed an interest in food allergy. He published multiple articles and book chapters and completed course work toward a Master’s degree in clinical and translational research. Dr. DeBrosse continues to try to bring the newest advances to patients in the Dayton area, including Oral Immunotherapy for Peanut Allergy. Dr. DeBrosse is a Fellow of the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology and the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology.
Dr. DeBrosse has a wife and three children. He joined the practice full time on July 5th, 2011. Dr. DeBrosse wants patients to understand their allergic conditions and he strives to offer them the best possible allergy care.

Dr. McMillan is a native of Trotwood, Ohio and graduated from The Miami Valley School in Dayton. She earned an undergraduate degree with honors from Washington University in St. Louis and a medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine. Dr. McMillan completed pediatric residency training at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and fulfilled her fellowship training in Allergy and Immunology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center/University of Cincinnati. There she pursued her interest in pediatric asthma and the social, economic and environmental disparities that exist within the population. During her studies she obtained a Masters in Clinical and Translational Research from the University of Cincinnati.
Dr. McMillan is experienced in caring for a variety of allergic disorders including asthma, allergic and non-allergic rhinitis, food allergy, eczema, chronic hives and contact dermatitis. She offers peanut oral immunotherapy which desensitizes peanut allergic patients and offers biologic therapies for the treatment of difficult to treat asthma, eczema, hives and nasal polyps. She is dedicated to accurately diagnosing allergic disorders and working with families to create personalized treatment plans customized to their needs.
Dr. McMillan is a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy Asthma & Immunology (AAAAI) and the American College of Allergy Asthma & Immunology (ACAAI).

Jeffrey Vercher is a native of the Dayton, Ohio area growing up in Beavercreek. He presently resides in Kettering with his son and daughter. Jeff was a member of the U.S. Army Medical Corp and the Ohio Army National Guard for 11 years. He graduated Cum laude from the Physician Assistant Program at Kettering College of Medical Arts. He has a Masters Degree from the University of Nebraska specializing in allergy, asthma and immunology. He is currently certified through the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and licensed by the Ohio State Medical Board. He is an active member of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI) and the American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI).
Caren Michael grew up in Wisconsin before coming to Ohio. She lives in Xenia with her husband and four sons. Caren graduated with honors from Cedarville University with her bachelor of science in nursing and worked as an RN for nearly 20 before graduating Summa Cum Laude with her Masters in nursing from Cedarville University. She is board certified with The American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and licensed with the Ohio board of Nursing as a certified nurse practitioner. She is a member of American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI). In her free time, she is an avid runner and gardener.
